Presentations - Day 1

As we prepared for the class of 6th graders to come in, we sat there, going through our presentations, joking around as always. When they arrived, the first to present was Jena and Eleana. The kids didn’t seem too interested, mostly because they probably couldn’t understand very much. The next to present was Chris and I.
We got up there, played the video, got lots of laughs from the curious eyes before us. After us was Jessika and Aaron, who had a very good reaction as well. At first I was nervous, as I always get that way while standing up in front of people, but after a few minutes I felt more comfortable. The kids seemed to be really interested in our lives, and especially the food we eat. We laughed with the kids, going back and forth with questions, and ended with a huge applause. I think it went really well. I think the kids got a feel for our daily American life, as well as where we live and the Seattle area. I feel less nervous for the next presentation now because this one went really well! -Willow
